Chaka, Chaka, Chaka, Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan, Chaka Khan, Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan, let me rock you
Let me rock you, Chaka Khan
Let me rock you, that’s all I wanna do
Chaka Khan, let me rock you
Let me rock you, Chaka Khan
I cant help it was the first thing I thought of, and went around like a crazy person all day saying this.
Okay, Chaga tea. The riskiest tea I’ve drank. Foraged by my friend tomiko out in Fish Creek Park somewhere. She found an infected birch tree, ripped, chopped, bludgeoned, picked the mushroom growth off it. Went over to her friends house and put it in her spice grinder, apparently broke the blades of the grinder, found another grinder and ended up with the tea powder that is needed to prepare the tea. The powder itself doesn’t have much of an aroma (I was thinking it smells like crisco), and the infusion is not very aromatic either. Flavor was pretty dull, flabby, and bitter like walnuts. The olfactory exhale was like decaying wood, and general fungus / mushroom notes. The sediment layers on your tongue and in the throat, and gives a long lasting dry finish. The tea is also texturally very robust. Thick. Looks like coffee made in a moka pot as well.
